This image took a while to get. I think total today I took about 700 pictures of different assorted fruits and vegetables falling into a tank full of tap water. This is actually a very arduous task, taking up my entire day, I managed to come out with the perfect picture of an apple falling into water. At last, I had it in my computer, but unfortunately, it was only one of about 600 images I had to go through to find it, but it is undoubtedly the best...

Out of all the vegetables and assorted fruits I took pictures of today, the hardest to capture of all was the pepper. It being hollow caused it to float back up tot he surface of my aquarium quite quickly, I only got one picture and I had to hold the damn thing in place!

So, here's how it was setup:

1. Cleaned up an old terrarium and set it on a table downstairs in my basement with a flat white backdrop. I set my camera up on a tripod in front of it facing the white screen, and then, slowly, one by one, took a pitcher full of water from my bathroom and then went across the room to empty it into the tank. I used the "yellow light" white balance setting on my Digital SLR Canon Rebel to get a clear shot of the water. When I had my camera set up with a 50mm macro lense put on, I placed two lights 100watt bulbs in them on either side of the tank just right so that I would not get a reflection. When all of the above was complete, I turned out the lights and began dropping fruits and veggies into the tank.

Here is the editing process:

1. Unsharp mask
2. Levels
3. Curves
4. Brightness contrast
5. Hue/Saturation
6. Burn tool
7. Blur tool

Background color looks a little odd, but it makes it come off to me like a painting or drawing. I like.

Needs cropping and I don't like the liquid color too much. Good timing, though.
