I really like this idea, but I'm not so sure about the execution, I think a somewhat abstract version where the focus is on the shapes of the cd/record/tape/sheets or something might have more bang to it.

I think the objects in your photo show good potential, but the lighting and composition need a little more creativity. The focus also seems a little soft. 5
