Abstract

Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Money II (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED
Date: Oct 28, 2008
Aperture: F 5
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/160
Date Uploaded: Oct 28, 2008

Folded two 20s to make a cross and used single light source (off camera SB600 flash) for the shadow.

PP: crop, curves, saturation, resize, usm

I know the cross and the background could have been a bit better. But I have only one hour (including processing), so this one has to do.

Wow, I would think about putting this up as a stock photo. I can imagine journalists using this very effectively as it's a quite provocative illustration for both sides of the In God We Trust / One Nation Under God legal challenges that Michael Newdow will probably continue to make headlines with.

interesting use of origami and the light and shadow. did you try a little darker background? the white background kind of takes away from any potential dramatic impact. i gave this a 6 because i like the idea and the effect.

I love that you got the "In God we trust" sign at the front, for me this is one of the best. I also spent a lot of time learning orgami this weekend too. One of the best for me.

Neat idea, and I like the composition. Just wish the shadow was more straight. Guessing the background is curved posterboard?

Like the shadow especially. Also, nice folding job so the words showed up in a good spot.
