 this fly was on my shoe ..
combined with gum leaves on the firetrail and a paint texture ..

I love the moment of shocked confusion as my 4 brain cells try to figure out what I'm looking at...& succeed. That 'aha' moment is so satisfying. And the abundance of detail on the fly is amazing & repulsive. It's 3-dimensional & 2-dimensional at the same time. Cool!
