 sorry if this is too gruesome for a lot of ppl .. but the bee was already dead when the ants got to it .. so it wasnt suffering .. i would have stamped on it to put it out of its misery if it had been alive when i took this pic ..
well four pics .. three of the bee and ants and another one of some gum leaves as an overlay .. then of course ye olde flood filter ..
the ants were moving very fast which is why the camera settings .. ie. 1/500th sec

Heh! Awesome! Shame those ants didn't have a little chocolate syrup to add to their lunch. This is wonderful macro work and the pp is to die for!

Wonderful colors and design. Very dramatic. Looks like an illustration for a Grimms Fairy Tale, or some other horrifying children's story. Love the leaves and the flood effect.

BTW, what do you think of this suggestion?

WOW! not only expert editing, expert photography, too. I enjoy so much the shots that show me things I could never fully appreciate with just my eyes. Assuming I could get my eyes this close to such a scene. I'd probably end up with an ant up my nose or something. hehe This came together beautifully & with a perfect-o title. Who could ask for more?! I do! Keep on clickin'!
