Beautiful... almost abstract even. The contrast really works here, as does the composition.

This bold photo is an interesting take on the challenge. The perspective works well, and I love the way the pelican (?) stares at the viewer - the intensity is superb. I am undecided about the one sidedness of the image - on balance I feel I would have preferred more balance with the lighting, but at the same time I do appreciate the boldness.

Very unusual angle. These things even look good in black and white :- )

I love this shot except for the awkwardness of the balance the crop makes, to me I may have liked it better if there was more space on the left to balance the negative space on the right but hey that's just me. The part of the shot I really love is the B&W tones and the textures which are very well done.

Back for another look and to leave a comment! I just bumped you up to a 10. I really like this. The starkness, the almost soulful stare. Excellent job!
