 Shot inside our planetarium with a very nice 4th grade class who agreed to be my model! Three different shots with three exposures and a small juggle of light levels in the room; darkest to capture the stars, and slightly more illuminated to capture the people and projectors. The composition didn't change between shots but being in a planetarium gave me a unique opportunity to use lighting to my advantage. I hope this is not seen as a rules violation.

The three jpeg shots were copied into separate layers in photoshop and then merged to capture the widest dynamic range, preserving sky and people/equipment.

Quite a stunning capture and something quite different and refreshing. I dont have any hesitation in giving this an 8
Ps. I have an entry in this challenge myself as well but it's not really going anywhere.

They settled into their seats, and whispers of awe and excitement drifted through the crowd in hushed waves. They'd waited weeks for this moment, this escape from the dullness of the usual classroom day. Parents and students alike gasped as the lights went off, and the machine projected its display on the ceiling.

"My God, it's full of stars!" was heard from some joker, and nervous laughter was heard.

It wasn't long, however, before the laughter and the whispers and the exclamations began to stop. It wasn't long before the joking reference to an old film was suddenly not so much of a joke after all.

It wasn't long before everyone in the room was lost forever. It was, indeed, full of stars.
