BORING AND UNINSPIRING

Looks like if we had seen the plate more, you could have even added that into the curves of the photo.

Neat curves, but what's the red stuff on the fork??
04/13/2002 09:37:00 AM
Pepper on spaghetti? Interesting shot. Everything in the picture has a curve: the bowl, the spaghetti, the fork, and the spoon. Well done.
04/12/2002 07:35:00 PM
This could have been better had the fork not been steamy or used.
04/11/2002 12:54:00 PM
the red reflection (or stain?) on the tines of the fork is a little distrubing! :) have you ever tired poppy seeds on pasta? It's delicious, and would potograph better than crushed pepper.

Is that sauce on the fork, or a reflection? I could do without it. Otherwise nice, but tonally a little flat.
04/09/2002 04:11:00 PM
Good idea. I would have liked it better with more light, and maybe without the spoon or seasoning.

This makes me very hungry......difinitely lots of curves... It looks like everything is in focus. Great picture. :)
04/09/2002 12:15:00 PM
The concept of this photo was good, but the end result is lacking. It could be improved by using a clean fork! Plus I would lose the pepper, sorry it looks likes bugs to me!

mm. makes me hungry.. : )
04/09/2002 10:07:00 AM
Why is there tomatoe sauce on lthe fork and not on the sphegetti?
04/09/2002 07:59:00 AM
Great composition, the herbs on the pasta really add to the shot!
04/09/2002 07:44:00 AM
are u trying to make me hungry? i would've tried some highlights on the strands.
04/09/2002 05:42:00 AM
a clean fork may have been a better option here - I find myself drawn to it to figure out what the heck is on it. :P
04/09/2002 02:41:00 AM
This feels very flat. If the lighting were altered, it would have given a greater feeling of depth within the coils of the pasta.
04/08/2002 10:58:00 PM
I would love to know your intent here. Great composition except for the "used fork" in my opinion. What were you trying to convey?
04/08/2002 07:14:00 PM
clever idea. Nice job.
04/08/2002 05:12:00 PM
nice curves, fork looks like you've just pulled it out of someone! good exposure, original idea.
04/08/2002 04:23:00 PM
Now THAT is lots of curves ! Nice capture:)
04/08/2002 01:34:00 PM
Creative!
04/08/2002 12:40:00 PM
The pasta lacks a little colour maybe a little sauce may help?
04/08/2002 12:34:00 PM
I'm hungry now. :)
04/08/2002 11:30:00 AM
I had this idea myself but didn't pursue it. Your bowl really sets off the curve concept with the rings around the edges. Maybe a little twist of pasta around the fork would have added some more excitement to this shot.. Maybe a sprig of parsley? Very nice work...
04/08/2002 10:55:00 AM
I would have included the entire plate too, cropping could be better
04/08/2002 10:23:00 AM
You are making me hungry! Good entry.
04/08/2002 08:47:00 AM
I feel hungry! Light is a bit 'flat'.
04/08/2002 01:53:00 AM
I think the lipstick on the fork is a nice touch. It added a bit of interest and helped tell the story. I think the angle makes the photo a little sterile but for all I know that was the best angle for you to also get the plate. I won't second guessyou :)
04/08/2002 12:40:00 AM
This idea crossed my mind... great layout.. i couldn't get mine to look appetizing.

Yum! But one hint - clean your fork and spoon before taking the shot.
