Day 27 of 30 Flowers

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this guy!!! And then wanted to lop off major portions of the bush so I could get a clear shot at him ;-) As soon as I moved slightly to try and get a better angle he was gone. ARRRGGGGH!!

I could try to clone in the bits of the bird hidden by the leaves, but I'm not going to. I'm sure we've all had shots like this!

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, reduced gamma, increased contrast, reduced noise, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.

I could try 1M times & never get one as good as this. I admire the bright eye & the feeling of early evening this evokes. They do stay out kind of late.

Don't do a thing to this shot. It is those leaves that make it such a natural capture. Attention is on the bird at the flower. Enough said.

Congrats on making the front page. Recognized it immediately!

Wow, how cool!!! I've never seen a hummingbird in real life before, I'd be very excited to get a photo like this.

Mother Nature had you going didn't she? I have pulled off leaves, blades of grass, etc, but with a hummingbird, that isn't possible.

Don't worry about the leaves. I think they give a great natural framing to the shot. Well done!

Very nice. It's kind of dramatic with a partial view of the hummingbird. I know it's not easy to get them in the shot. I was chasing butterflies and hummingbirds around my yard yesterday without any decent results. I put up a feeder, but they seem to prefer flowers.
