 I'll probably bomb on this one, but I took it at a moment that was, for me, serendipity. I was in the park taking shots of other things and this squirrel just started to follow me around. It peeked out from behind a tree and *click* I captured the image you see here. I realize squirrels are very common, but this little guy just did something for me. I had an alternate image that may have "fit the challenge description" better but I didn't feel the connection. As for post-processing - I didn't adjust anything.

This is a nice composition and it represents the theme of serendipity. I like the soft muted purples and greens in the background in contrast to the rough, grey texture of the squirrel's fur and the tree bark.

The squirrel is so sharp, and focused, I like the bright bark, and the blurred background. I might have cropped a little more of the background out, but it is a great picture.
