| Even though contrived & staged, a small detail such as bloodshot eyes may contributed to more realism. I think the colour and texture of the dried blood is pretty good. A good creative idea with a strong message regarding the brutal aftermath of violence in this entry. |

| The 'blood' looks like chunky bolognaise sauce and kinda spoils the effect of this for me, the purple eye-shadow could be blended a bit more too. I do like the idea a lot though. |

Perhaps not, but the make-up was a bit over done. Needed to do something to the blood to make it look a little less like spaghetti sauce.
The bruising *under* the deep purple is great.

| Pretty model and good expression. the purple is unfortunatly a but too glittery/ shiny to look realistic, but you get the message. Nice lighting. |

| The make-up was a big problem, plus the model looks like a giver rather than the receiver. Very well lit!! Technically awesomme. |

Good idea but the black eye looks painted on and the purple doesn't grab my attention.
Instead Im drawn to the chilli sauce on her mouth. |

| I get what the effect was supposed to be, but it looks like she has chilli smashed on her mouth and under her nose and the makeup unfortunately does not look like a bruise.....sorry. |

| Picture overall is good, the black eye looks great, the bleeding nose though IMO took away from the photo, looks like spaghetti sauce, just found it distracting. Otherwise nice photo. |

| This'll be heavyj. Like the light and tone as ever. Make up (unless you're both really dedicated to your art!) works quite well - maybe a bit too much purple. Don't know whether you were after a look of determination (from mrs heavyj?), but that's what I see. 8 |

| I got a shock when this image loaded on my screen. You got the impact on viewer. Nice portrait. However the fake blood looks more like food left over. Try ketchup next time ;) |
