Amateur Photographer

As a retired person, and spending most of my time taking photos for my hobby as a member of DPC, I have tried to create an image that says amateur but has a quality about it as well. The rotation and border are all part of the original theme I was trying to achieve.
The art work in the background is a piece of art hanging in my room, the lighting streaks are from the venation blinds onto the wall, the frame is set up on a tri-pod supported by the camera and mini tri-pod, I positioned myself to the angle of the frame and shot with the remote in my hand.

Fantastic!! You remind me of Wilson on Home Improvement (I think because the frame crosses your nose)!

Love your creativity here. It's amazing how you lined up yourself and the frame so perfectly. Congratulations on the good score and placement.

The conflicting angles are uncomfortable to me, but not entirely unpleasing. Good colors and great lighting. I don't like the nose getting cut off though.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but I like the way you did it.

Wonderful idea for a shot. I like the angles, but I'm guessing some don't, huh?

I quite like this - love the odd angle/framing, REALLY love the whole cut the face in half with the frame thing. Nifty with the remote and tripod in the shot. All told, just works really, really well! Nice hat, too.

There's a lot to figure out here, but I like the monochromatic attempt to unify the photo.

The black frame is way too big.

I'll bet you're getting a lot of comments about the border. This isn't one of them. I think the image is very well thought out and quite creative.I have to wonder how much time you invested in this one. :)
