Okay, for those of you that don't know, Dolly Parton is from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She has a show there now called the Dixie Stampede. It is all about the North vs the South.

Ya'll remember now that I am married to a Yankee :)

Well, we had our 10 year anniversary and went to Pigeon Forge. He asks if I would like to go see this show. I say, "YES! I would LOVE to! Horses AND food? I am IN!"So, he tells me to make reservations *evil grin* little did he know that the lady on the phone asked if we would like to cheer for the North or the South. I said, "The South!" She laughed. He frowned. When we got there, he discovered that we were cheering for the "wrong side" and was aghast :) bwahahahhahhahhahaha!!!!

The South won all the challenges that night :)

Funny thing about the Dixie Stampede is, they don't give you any silverware. You gotta eat everything with your hands :) Even the soup :)

Nice meal though. Yum Yum!! :)

My Daddy loaned me the hat for the shoot. I bought the shirt when we left Pigeon Forge that night. The sleeve you can't see is blue and has white stars on it :)

Dolly Parton is one of the few big stars that never forgot her humble beginnings. She has done more for Pigeon Forge since her rise to stardom than most people in the same situation do for their families.

So, here's a big YEEHAW to ya'll!!

The sun was real bright this evening so this was shot with a REALLY fast shutter speed. I thought about closing down the shutter, but wanted the shallow DOF... soooooo :)

This was lit with the evening sun on the right there and a 36" gold reflector on the left :)

Great use of light, as always, particularly in bringing out some depth to your face. Love the border, too.

LOL, your comments reminded of the Charlie Daniels' song, The South's Gonna Do it Again. Nice job with the lighting, you look great!! :)

JoJo, you are letting your "redneck" show. Good shot as usual. And Happy Anniversary.

Haha, I love the story behind this :D
Nice DOF by the way and I like the rather untraditional posing - the diagonal line creates movement in it.

I love your expression! Great story to go with this. The pose is very nice and the lighting on your face is great too, but probably would have been better on not so bright a day. I think you handled the lighting conditions very well!

Yeehaw.. that's very lovely. You've reigned in that bright sun perfectly... no hard shadows to bemoan. Well done.

I'm so out of touch. I did not know your husband was home now! Yay! (hopefully I am not saying something stupid at the moment because I am assuming that you JUST celebrated your 10 year anni.). Love the story with the photo. Very cool how you used the border to bring out the colors in your shirt - I like it! I love what the lighting is doing for your eyes. Very pretty!

Great story. Show'em to mess with a southern gal. Nice softening of the sun/shadows with the reflector.

This is wonderful! Even more so with the fun story to go with it! :)

I like the SP. It looks like "Don't mess with a Southern Lady." *grin*
