Need help with my DSC-P51 Cam. Because I'm new at Photograhpy, and this camera, I'm a little confused about how to set the F settings, Shutter speed etc..... The Manual that came with this camera is very unclear, or should I say, it really doesn't go into any real details. Can anyone help this newbie? I'd really appreciate any help......

Thanks,

Seems a little over-saturated and just a hint too dark. Nice idea.

I like the shadowing on this, as it conveys a mood; however, it may have been overdone. There is little contrast between the pen and the blade, a little less shadow and a soft fill light to bring out that contrast could help.

Interesting idea but the shadows are distracting.

Great shot, and good idea, although I thought the saying was "The pen is mightier than the sword"

One of the best and original representations of strength and power. I really love the composition, angle/perspective and light pattern. There are some blown-out spots though. 9

Good luck...

I love the lighting on this. I think the DOF is very good as well.

One of my faves for this challenge. Great composition, excellent lighting, and the tones of the paper create a lovely victorian feel.

I was working on this idea and didn't ahve a blade, nor as good a background, nicely done. The lighting on the declaration is perfect, the pen could have taken just a little more, but I hope you do very well.

I had a similar idea and decided not to pursue it because I didn't think I could do it justice. You've done a nice job. I think the harshly-striped lighting detracts, forcing the shadows almost to black. A softer lighting arrangement would make a more pleasing image. Plus, a bounce card or fill flash would address the lack of details in the shadows. Well done.

There are several submissions along these same lines but this is the best of the bunch. I like the feel of the shot, the colors, the high contrast. DOF is a little odd, but in this case it works well. Nicely done. 8

I like the shadows & light that you have in this photo. But the pen could have more detail in it. overall i like it.

Lovely light really enhances this shot nicely. I think a little more light would of been good too to show more of the nib on the pen or the edge of the blade. Good entry, hope you do well. 7 from me.

All the shadow stripes across the page are quite distracting from the point you are portraying

So is this paper, scissors, rocks? jajaja I love your cocept, but as an international site, I'll be watching to see how this flies. Not enough of the text is visible for an outsider to understand what this text is. The void in the upper right is distracting. Nice shot! 7
