I'm curious whether they would leave the unpeeled roots in the dish? This image made me find this photographer and how he shoots from above...

I think it might be better to keep the plate anchored at the bottom of the frame. Your crop makes me feel like I'm falling into the food or some effect like that. Hard to explain or put a finger on but there's an odd thing happenong here. |

I like your composition, the perspective of the shot... all that stuff. It is a shame it is not looking a bit more "cooked". Great job.
