Many thanks for that heavyj. It's most appreciated.

As you can see from the shutter speed and ISO, this was in a very dark room. (Imperial War Museum)
It was taken hand held. (tripods not allowed) The guy in the spotlight is a security guard (sorry sempermarine - I preferred your version)
He did not know I was taking the shot. The lady on the bench behind is simply a visitor resting her legs.
All I did was darken the surrounding areas ans burn out anything distracting including the stand the jet was on.

Cheers
Bob

Very nice, I'm wondering how you got this lighting as I'm assuming it's in a museum. Love the composition and lighting, and I think black and white was a very good choice.

Just enough secondary to bring balance. Good lighting

Nice work with the lighting. Excellent composition. I like how the individual is standing and admiring the aircraft. It's like he was the pilot of it and is saying goodbye to it and the lady (his wife?)behind him is waiting patiently just watching him.

I have been in the US Marines for the last nineteen years and have been married to a wonderful women for 13 of those years and have been deployed on numerous occasions. This picture is reminder to me of the sacrifice and steadfast support she always gives me.

A favorite!
Thanks 10

Must be in a museum somewhere. The Harrier is still an incredible aircraft, even decades after introduction. Great use of what must have been existing lighting.
