The candid from the hip is wonderful. The processing with grungy overlays adds strength.

Nice and nicotine stained. From the hip is always so much fun.

Heh heh, the overlay seems to add the nicotine patina / aura that might be otherwise missed.

Good one.

Love it! Shooting from the hip can yield some great candids with the bonus of having a unique perspective.

I do like the angle on this! The harsh texture goes right along with the cig in his hand. Nice way to put them together for impact.

Could have fooled me on the shot-from-the-hip...everything about that composition looks expertly and artistically planned.

lol . 'shot from the hip' ..
you really have to be sneaky sometimes otherwise you'd miss out on some excellent photographs . this is brilliant .. its such a common sight these days especially when ppl arent allowed to smoke indoors .. ohhhhhh .. i'm just assuming its like that over the world like it is in australia .. workers go out on their breaks and lunch to smoke .. when i was younger we were allowed to smoke EVERYWHERE .. i had a head-on car accident and banged myself up very badly .. i was in hospital for quite a while .. and can you believe it, i was allowed to smoke in the ward ..!!! i cant imagine it now .. lucky they got that right ..
anyway .. i love this shot for your perspective, the laugh i got hearing you shot from the hip and the excellent processing .. that guy really looks so estonian .. !!..:)

Oh yeah! Just like a snapshot found in the drawer from 20 years ago. A bit aged and yellowed. Love the perspective and editing.
