I did the b&w conversion with some fuzz and grain (diffuse glow) thrown in. Just for the heck of it I put an overlay of a snippet of some old bricks. I dragged the snippet to fit and used overlay with a little bit of fade. I did some erasing over the guy's face and arms. I was really surprised at the result and just left it, so there's a smidge of color in the current shot. The green in the trees is actually some moss that was on the bricks. The green just happened to hit in the right places!

The "Hands-Free" in the title refers to the "Hands-Free" Law that went into effect yesterday in California. You can't talk on your cell phone without a hands-free device if you are driving a car. If the law doesn't apply to bicycles, too, it should! This guy just went whipping through our parking lot.

The high key parking lot and wall with the layered in brick is fantastic. Hands free on the bike is a good idea.

As always you have a special talent for first of all finding and taking wonderful simple images and then turning them into something magnificent

A very fun photo with a nice sense of motion in the scene.

Great grain and texture. I really like the extra dimension the layer adds to the b&w.

Very cool shot and processing. And for the record, most all laws which apply to automobiles should apply to bikes - stop at stop signs, wait for lights, speed limits (heh!). Not sure on the hands-free thing, but you're right, it should!

I like the effect...it's like looking at life throught and old B&W television.

This looks like you took an old photo from a newspaper, scanned it and blew it up. I like the grain. Very cool effect.
