Gosh! This is manipulated to death. *sigh*

But, isn't Mr. Frog ADORABLE?! *grin*
And handy, too, for a Speed Challenge. Good thing I went to figure out what was wrong with my pond filter. *smile*
The main bugger was getting rid of a pesky shadow legally. I used lots of masks and levels and curves and shadow/highlights... (no cloning or healing). Finally, it's tolerable.

Oh yeah... so I cropped, and added some Lucis on the handsome Mr. Frog to bring out his amphibianness. Cloned out an eyelash on the lightbulb. (HOW does an eyelash get on a lightbulb?!!) Got rid of some nasty dust bunnies everywhere on my sensor... *heavy sigh*

Worked really hard to get the inside of the lightbulb to be darker (with burning/dodging everywhere and brightness with mask).
It basically was a nightmare. I would have reshot it, but Mr. Frog had left the area (unattended *groan*) and I didn't find him for hours later. By that time, I'd already gotten fed up with the whole project and so I let him go.
Anyway, I cropped, and resized and bordered and NI'd and ummm... I can't remember anything else, but I'm sure there was more.

Nightmare.

I hope it does well. *sigh*

Mr. Frog deserves some kudos for his patience. He REALLY didn't want to sit on that lightbulb. *rolleyes*
Believe it or not, I actually stunned a fly on my window and let it go in the softbox with Mr. Frog as a tasty treat. But, he was apparently all egotistical with the lights My Beloved just bought me and the camera and such... and he ignored his dinner.

His dinner flew away.

Edit: Well... Its the first day of voting today and I woke to a 6.0 and dinner time for me now on the same day it's a 6.8333! I'm thrilled!

POST EDIT: 4th! Yippee! Thanks for liking Mr. Frog and for all of the wonderful comments.

this is cool, but with "super" advanced editing the result could be better IMHO, nice placement no doubt.

Awwwwww, Lydia! This is so cute! I truly love frogs, and I'm always so amazed when people can get them to sit still long enough to get these adorable shots! Congratulations on an honorable mention for this one!

If it had been me picking, this one would have a ribbon under it!

Very cute. I love how you used the frog to help the light bulb stand apart from the white background.

Excellent lighting!!! So crisp and clean with amazing detail on the frog. I love how the focus is on the frog and not the filiments of the lightbulb. Nicely done! ((Cute lil frog))

Clever image. A frog usually means this.
