 The family is out of town this week - attending camps and traveling on business. My dog and I are left to fend for ourselves. To get us both out and about, I decided to take a morning drive to some hiking trails near a local pond. These little darter dragonflies were all over the place and I decided to give my 60mm macro lens a go. This one was very inquisitive and seemed to be mugging for the camera.

Editing: Levels, curves, selective colors, saturation, noise ninja, crop, resize, added layer of black and masked to give minor vignette, save for web - sharpen post websave.

WOW .. stunning dragonfly shot peter ... now look who's showing off .. !!.. actually that dragonfly looks like a bit'v a poser too .. !!.lol ..:)

Yeah yeah, I get it. I take a macro of a dragonfly one month in Free Study, get a reasonable score and then the following month you go out and completely out do me in every way shape and form...Gee you know how to hurt a guy!

Amazing image (though groaned at the title) just perfect in every way

about the 6 dragonfly shot!? but i like the contrasting reds and greens, they are such a great combo

Not affecting my score, but the title is a TAD overused. The photograph is veyr well composed and exposed and the greens rich and lovely. Very nice macro.
