I guess you could say this is somewhat of a rush shot. I had a shot all planned out for the night before but my photo assistant had to work later than planned so I tried something by myself the next day.

When I went outside to start, it was a clear sunny day. Then, when I got all set up, it was dark and gloomy and little did I know a torrential downpour was going to start. Good thing I put an umbrella over my camera :P Anyways, the torrential downpour started, but I managed to get 3 shots in and this one was the best one. I was soaked, and my legs were a little muddy, but I was happy with the outcome. Also I am happy with 4th! Thanks!

This is just a great image. One of three tens I handed out in this challenge. This is so very well done I don't know where to begin- The "moodiness" of this if fantastic, dark, forboding, it looks like something from the beginning of a Cohen brothers movie. The shoes make this shot pop, if they were black this would be an 8 (hard to believe two points for shoes). My only very nit picky thing is the blood smear on the door should have been the right hand- at least I think so. But, this should have been a blue ribbon.

Wonderful feel of this shot - the antiqued look of the colors, the brightness of the red shoes, it all tells a story, and a grizzly one at that.

Love the composition and color toning on this. Kudos on the torn stockings & positioning of the legs to look realistic. Popping the shot with the red shoes put this over the top. High marks here.

I'd love to know your processing steps to get that old film print coloring.

One of the better ones this challenge I think. Another Kellie Pickler murder.

hmm, this is why you shouldn't take rides from "stranglers" good retro look and blood smear too.

nice PP. Her red shoes stand out well amongst the green of the rest of the pic.

the red shoes set a good contrast to the otherwise dark and creepy picture. Just the effect you wanted, right?

This is an all-around neat shot. I love the shock of red from the shoes, the sunglasses, the car... Details are very nice.

Something about this reminds me of something Stephen King would write about. lol

I wish there was more, the smudge on the door is barely noticeable and the legs do not seem in that much duress. I do enjoy the processing, but just does not sell the concept to me.

Love all the elements to this shot. Red spiked heels seems to be the norm for this challenge though. The vignetting is perfect for the subjects. No vote, I'm in this one.

Disturbing and devastatingly sad. So many questions left unanswerable. Perfectly cross processed to cement the mood too. Great work.
