Challenge: Wheels (Basic Editing I)
Collection: What Was I Thinking?
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Easton, CT
Date: Apr 6, 2004
Aperture: f4.5
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/60
Date Uploaded: Apr 6, 2004

I wasn't even going to enter this time, but then I spotted this scene next to the door of a General Store in Easton, CT. Unfortunately, the light was fading on the last day of the challenge, so I went with a flash and couldn't get the strong shadows that might have made it even better. Cropped, levels, unsharp mask and slight increase in saturation.

Interesting capture, nice composition too. I think it would have looked good in B&W or sepia. You don't have to mention that it wasn't staged though.

Good luck...

Glad you put that title with it, I don't think I would have gotten it without it.

nice idea, nice title...
i don't know if cutting both upper and lower edges of the wheel is a good thing, but anyway, nice

Pretty good coincidence. Lovely shot. I think I would have cut off one end of the wheel, but not both. Otherwise, excellent.

I love this kind of "found" image. The framing of the wheel top to bottom is great with the rim just reaching each edge
