 The Image: My favourite place, early in the morning. Got there in the dark, armed with mobile phone. This is not near where I was threatened by that bad man, it is in a more public place...still a danger at this time of the morning. Took this on a tripod with a 5 second exposure.

The Edit: Black and white, tint, Smart Sharpen, Noise Ninja adjustment layer, cloned a couple of sendor dust spots...levels, dodge and burn.

The Prediction: By now, people are getting sick of my water shots...mid sixes?

Post Challenge: This started life under 5, and just kept creeping upwards for a week. I was quite surprised that it finished top 10. I agree with some of the comments about the vignetting. But I wanted a real nighttime look to capture what was really there.

I'm really curious how you got this effect. It looks like it really is night and you've just utilized the city glow. If so I'm really impressed! I haven't gotten any of my night pictures to look nearly so good yet.

Looks like the slow shutter speed cused some blur. I still like it. My first two submissions have ben said to be too dark-similar to yours....I like it because the viewer has to look a little harder for the subtle details and stayes interested longer. I think any low scores you may get will be from the fast raters who don't take much time in viewing...Its a 7

I wish the black border at the top blended as well as at the bottom, and maybe a little less width on each, but that's minor on a shot that I otherwise love. Soooo peaceful :)
