A cross country team having a blast playing in a huge puddle of mud. My sister and I came across the scene by chance while we were walking our dogs.

Wonderful. Going in my favorites.

A tad overexposed for my tastes, but you capture this scene well.

I like the idea of this photograph....great subject material for this challenge. I wonder how it would have looked like in color and with a much closer crop on the kids....less trees and more focus on the kids.

Looks like fun to me!

good depiction of a chaotic situation, too many trees in the background comtete for my attention with the playful people though. I would have cropped down to make the shot's aspect ratio wider

Wonderful photograph! Love the grainyness and portrayal of sheer energy. I think the extrreme backlighting and contrast is very appropo and the way that the people appear halo'd by bright light gives the photo an almost ethereal feel. Extremely well done.

what a mess, looks like fun ! great shot, fits the challenge real well.

great idea, but i think the shot is too wide. focusing on just a few of them without so much background would help the photo out tremendously.

Not much here to hold my interest. I think if I had been there to see what was going on, maybe it would be more interesting. It just looks like a bunch of muddy people. lol.

Definitely looks chaotic. I might have tried cropping out either the left or right third of the photo to get more definition and clarity.

I think color may have enhanced the 'chaos' here...

I really, really, really, like this photo. To me it depicts the theme of the challenge to a tee. And you got a reasonably high mark from me because of it. I am wondering, however, how it will fair because it is not perfectly sharp and detailed. Appears over sharpened. I am also wondering why you did not submit this in color for added drama. At any rate, best of luck. . . and I wish I were there! BTW, whose car did they ride home in?!!!

Good Job! Clearly shows chaos. Black and white works well. Seems a bit grainy.

What a good picture for the challenge. To my mind it might have even looked more chaotic if it were in color.

Wonderful shot, but you seem to have gone mad with USM. Perhaps more shallow dof would have helped isolate the background from yout subjects.

This is a fun picture. Like the black and white. If I could vote, you'd get an 8 for this one.

love this 10

Excellent! I predict a ribbon!
