we went to taronga park zoo yesterday, which is in sydney.. i wish we lived close to the zoo .. its nearly a two hour drive to get there ..
i decided to just use my canon 100mm fixed lens without changing .. it can be very limiting when you're too close tho ..
this photograph is uncropped .. the tiger was stalking around his enclosure, i think he was waiting to be fed .. we were very close to him, separated by glass .. there were heaps of ppl crowding against the glass as well, which made it very hard to get a good shot .. reflections and being bumped etc ..

i used texture from here ..

The pattern around his eye is fantastic. Nice job salvaging a great picture from less than perfect conditions.

Intense image..Eyes are great. I think it's hard to get a good shot at the zoo when enclosed behind glass because of the reflections..
You did well..

The most awesome thing about tigers is the intensity of their stare. You captured it well here.

You had the concentration of a hungry tiger, taking the shot, & you got a good one. Love the light in the eyes & the expression.
