 I shot this on my recent trip to the zoo to play around with the newly acquired 70-200 lens. This huge Hippo yawn looked like a singer in action and the title did fit the challenge so well. I don't have very high hopes on the score but couldn't resist the temptation to submit this cool 'rock star' for this challenge. Hope it puts a smile on the voters face though.

Here is another outtake though not while singing but surely showing his media savvy grin :)

The light on this is magnificent. I love the effect of the black background. If I wanted to be picky, I would grouse about the blown out lower jaw - but that is really pretty minor. Nice job.

And that's why crocks scramble in numbers when a hippo comes a wading... Great catch and lighting against a dark background....

Hah! ha ha! wow! What a great capture. Terrific lighting and look as those teeth. Dang! Can't see anything wrong with this one. One of my favorites and a definite 10. Good luck!

Fantastic lighting. Not sure about the title though. Hippo and rock star are not two concepts that have come together for me before ... although a couple of rock stars may be approaching hippo size.
