This is very pretty and delicate. Can't believe you folks already have damsels flying about, so lucky :) Wonderful you do get them this early on. We don't have ponds around here so that might be it. I'm lucky if I find one during the summer months. They're so fun to photograph. I must look looney, when I see one I rush in to grab the cam and rush out saying I'm going to shoot me some damsels LOL.

I think this is a remarkably beautiful macro. However it didn't tell much of a story to me. I think it would have scored much higher in Free Study.

The title tells a story; the picture to me is just an insect. If it were in the middle of flying from something to something else or intereacting with another animal I would say it met the challenge. It is a lovely shot, really nice colors.

Buzzy was tired of talking to flowers. They listened so prettily, but had little to say. Didn't they know how brief their lives were? They had no curiosity about anything. One day an azalea asked him to dance, but it turned out she was joking.
