Here's my man made object 2 for the side challenge. This is the Mormon temple in Nauvoo, IL. I shot this from the other side of the river in Montrose, IA.

The quality is a bit lacking, either for high crop or another reason, but with that aside, this is a beautiful place that I wish to visit someday. Nice use of Rules of thirds too.

I like the composition, I agree with bumping the contrast to make the shot a little less drab!

a mormon temple? hmmm That is interesting. I like it from across the lake.

Nice composition. I'd love to see this closer up to see what details are in the architecture.

An odd trick of the light is making the corner of the temple flatten out--giving it an oddly asymmetrical look, as though 1/2 the building was cut off. .

The composition is nice in this photo. The decision to break up the water, land, and sky in thirds works very well. Overall the photo is a bit grainy and hazy. I UV filter, if you aren't using one, really helps cut through the haze.

Nice shot - great composition. The color range feels a little muted - could you have added a little saturation/brightness or would that have detracted from what you are trying to present?

I love the split of the water and sky by the land, there is a slight feel of symmetry between the sea, land and sky. It may be me cause it is early here, but the building feels to lean a bit to the left (like just a hair) With that being said I like the positioning and overall composition, it really gives your photo depth.

Nice view...the "layering" of the water, land, and building draw the eye into the image. Agree about the contrast and sharpening, and maybe a bit of saturation.

Love the even division of sky/land/water. Have to agree with bobonacus on the contrast and sharpening, but all the same, great comp :)
