I hope you don't mind, but I had a play at the editing.

I obviously cropped it and added a white border, and I straightened the horizon just a tad. I also tweaked the blacks, whites, and grays in Selective Color. I liked the softness your photo had, but I wanted to see what it looked like sharper, so I played in Smart Sharpen. I didn't like how it looked with my usual default settings, so I put the "Amount" to 50% and threw the "Radius" way out to 30 and had one of those "So that's how they do it!" moments, heh.

Adorable kid and great catch.

Beautiful moment captured, Ken.

I'm glad her maudlin mood only lasted a moment. Love the BW treatment.

awww, she looks so alone and sad here. Glad to hear she was all smiles a few minutes later. She sure gave you a nice candid shot

Awwwwww. . .thank you for letting us know that she was okay a minute later. She is so beautiful and sweet looking. It's painful to see her look so lonely and sad. But what a great photo!

Don't you think this would have made a very good sepia challenge photo???? You must have something really good!

Such a sweet little candid portrait...so innocent and angelic. I'd bet she's hiding a devilish streak, like mine do. ;)
