First, thanks everyone for your encouraging comments, this second ribbon in one month of time is a good result of what is so important at DPC: emulation.
About the shot: as Gary said, Belgium is the homeland of bike racing, and Spring classics are running every W-E now. This one made six rounds circuits around my village, so i had the time to take up to 150 photos, with only the motion blur challenge in head. And at the selection I retain this "classic" motion blur, technically near perfection, but lacking a bit creativity. O well, i'm happy today.

Congrats on your second ribbon, this is a superb shot with excellent focus although I think that the people in the background are slightly distracting :)

Good luck...

Congratulations René. You are living in the right country for cycling shots! The Spring Classics must be around about now mustn't they?

Congratulations on your ribbon. This is the quintessential bike racer motion blur shot. Perfect focus on the entire rider and bike and it is top notch technical quality. This is front cover material for any racing magazine. It amazes how well you captured that at 1/60th.

Stunning! Perfect! The clarity of the cyclist is wonderful and the blurring of the background gives a sense of motion. Very well done.

Wonderful capture. The subject is perfectly sharp while the backround creates the feeling of speed. Great panning skill here. Top 3

Wow, I took a bike pic, and can certainly appreciate the sharpness you've captured here. Not quite sure about the composition, I think it would have worked better with a tighter crop. Perhaps tilting the picture so it looks as if he is pedalling more uphill would have added more drama.

A bit more space to the left would give him somwhere to go - but you've got all the shadow as well.

The biker is SO sharp, excellent job! I think the blue "thingy" (maybe the woman's umbrella?) is distracting, but not too much. Great job!

The lines are so nearly horizontal. Just a little rotation would help.
