 Sorry. This is prob'ly a little cliche, but no 30-day creature gallery from me would be complete without a soft fluffy flamingo. So Day 9 is my tribute to one of my favorite animals (uh-oh. . .don't I say that about EVERY animal??)

What I love about flamingos is how communal they are. You see one flap its wings and saunter off. . .then you'll see the whole bunch of them flapping their wings sauntering off. One pokes his head in his feathers, then you see all those around him poking their heads in their feathers. They much just be so comforted by each other's presence. I like that.

I love the softness of this image and how his eye just kind of emerges out of all that fluff.

Puffing - what puffing (GRIN!)

LOVE the flamingo - don't have them here - sigh!

The eye looks a bit oversharpened (not that I feel worthy of critiquing you - GRIN!)

Wonderful - I could do with more than one fluffy flamingo this month if you've got them!

HEE HEE - that eye amidst all of that fluff. Their coloring is so beautiful with the pink that has a drop of salmon in it. I love square crops too!!! ;~)

gorgeous sandy .. so beautiful and soft, such a beautiful pastel pink .. that eye in amongst all those feathers .. how is it cliche ?? .. it's BEAUTIFUL ..!! :)

Such a beautiful filled frame of pink! The eye is almost hidden despite being the one thing that truly captures my attention. So lovely and soft.

WOW that is so close and so so soft in visual appearance.....

Almost looks like fairy floss re the thumb nail, but so visualally pleasing when opened up from the thumbnail.....
