 The Image: Took this early morning at the zoo. This fellow was sitting against the window pane on a sleepy morning, posing for me with those sad eyes. This was shot through some fairly thick glass with a 105mm macro.

The Edit: Crop, Basically levels, USM, Noise Ninja...nothing else.

Prediction: 6????

Post Challenge: Did better than I thought in a HUGE challenge. It really is an Orangutan, so it is a bit of an amazing shot for me.

Yes, it IS amazing. He must've been so incredibly close to you to be able to use a macro lens for this. It turned out awesome. I love it when a photo does better than expected. It's so often the other way around, isn't it.

Looks like a modern interpretation of the Velociraptor. Really cool shot, almost alienesque.

that eye looks almost human .. i almost expect to see a tear coming out'v that eye .. brilliant close-up shot ..:)

If that's an actual orangutan, and I've not reason to suspect it's not, that's an amazing capture!!!

My only tiny nitpick is the reflections in the eyes. Still a 9 from me though.
