Challenge: Out of Place (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Minolta DiMAGE Z1
Location: home in Valdosta, Ga
Date: Mar 25, 2004
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/300
Date Uploaded: Mar 25, 2004

Couldn't find decent lighting, so I covered the flash with a piece of paper and that worked fine. This photo cost me approximately 50 cents.

No editing was done, other than reducing the image size.

Kinda a hair bit to close but still a neat idea

seems underexposed

The dirt detracts, and focus seems a bit soft. Is that a booger on the top left?
04/04/2004 01:18:07 AM
soft focus, and distracting background lead to a lower score, sorry

Not very interesting photographically...
04/03/2004 06:34:21 PM
not sharp enough
and why would that one be out of place?
only because it is different?

DOF is little off, but good ides. Some distractions on the edges too.

try using a tripod and less flash. if you did use a tripod maybe move it back a bit to clear up the image.

Dirty backgrond, lighting is uneven on the coins, flash reflections are distracting,2 !

...someone didn't focus properly, then I'd be a rich man this challenge

people submitted a blurry shot of their change I'd have a few lousy dollars at least?

The idea isn't that strong, and the straight-on shot doesn't do it justice. Too much flash brightness, very literal framing, not to mention that it's a little blurry. Suggestions: tripod (allows a longexposure without the glaring flash) different point of view, different background -- maybe go to the fabric store and buy a yard of velvet.

You need some dof and mostly some focus. The table is not clean and the smudge marks are also a distraction. Maybe try to make your light diffuse.

not good lighting, not good focus

This is the best picture of coins.

IMHO you had a big problem with lighting. Furthermore, it´s blurry.
