 lovely scene as I cruised from Rosebud to the airport in Rapid City before sunrise on Easter Sunday...just me & not much else; I was talking to the cows, and they started running towards me, I think they were ready for breakfast...

this was a special Moon because it was full on the evening of the Vernal Equinox, which is why Easter occurred so early this year...custom states it should fall on the first Sunday after the Full Moon after the Vernal Equinox..

I love the subtle tones and how the one cow with the white face is looking at you.

Oh Anni! What a fabulous photo! I love everything about it: the scale/perspective that the cows give that open, expansive scene. Those crisp, barren trees framing and dividing the land and the hill. . .but most of all, that beautiful moon and how it casts a beautiful glow on the land. I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven if I passed a scene like this and could photograph it!

There are so many beautiful things to shoot in the Badlands and you shot a goodie!! Great composition. Wish I could have "taken you on the tour".

this photograph grows on me the more i look at it . love the different layers and the unusual colouring .. those trees in the background look almost like they're dancing .. fantastic shapes .. this is quite eerie .. the moon is brilliant .. :)

Magnificent composition - quite glad you stopped to talk to the cows and shoot this one. The light is wonderful. Though you gotta wonder if the guy on the left of the frame heard a better offer next field over? :-)
