 Caught this dragonfly down near our dam. He had been skimming the water and had minute droplets of water on his wings. Used Xero Iridium for the background and then created a mask and erased the Iridium from the Dragonfly and grasses.

Focal length 400mm

One of my favorite subjects ... the dragonfly. But the part that I love even more was the beautiful effect you created as part of the background ... the swirls.

That is such and awesome, wonderful creative idea. I just love the bokeh droplets on his wings. The Psychedelic colors work perfectly. You did a great job erasing the iridium. Nice crisp focus on the dragonfly.

beautiful! what a great image, i love the play of the light throughout the image and the patterns it makes. The colors here are fabulous, and good composition too, I bthink this would make a great Free Study entry...
probably need to change the frame but otherwise..hmmm

course, don't listen to me b/c I have been getting hammered lately in challenges...hehehehe

I love that so much. It almost makes me think of moire taffeta behind the insesct. Gorgeous cool tones of lavender and turquoise.
