Great macro, love the detail on something just seen as dead. The shades of grren in the background give a nice echo of life. |

I can see it now - somebody at the botanical gardens wondering why a photographer would take a picture of a dead flower. They just have no clue!
Good job using DOF to blur the background and keep focus on the flower. I like the overall dark feel to this. |

I really like the shallow dof on this and how it seems to fade into oblivion |

Definitely dead, not alive! I like the dark, subtle tones in this. |

I think you might have caught some of Rozy's roz dark side here! I'm imagining some sort of alien creature exploding out of that dead flower. Background is great too Lisa, nice DOF. |

I like the green bg, it helps to balance out the brown "flower". |

I really like the way you do your backgrounds in these images. Lovely dof and composition. I love how it tilts ever so slightly to the left. |

Dark, but interesting to view. I would like to see a little more in focus here. |

This is awesome! I love it too. It reminds me of Jutilda's flower pictures -- and that's a huge compliment. You guys are fanTASTIC at using those settings to create beauty and art with your plant life! Shallow depth of field is so amazing.

I'm a suckah for a great DOF shot and this is certainly one. Deep and dark - but the flower refuses to be subdued and emerges with a hint of light as it comes into focus. Love it. |

What I like is the BG bokeh colors- darkness & light around the dried flower. Well done for your theme in this side Ch. ! |

Nice focus, very selective, narrow. "Mostly dead" feeling but it leaves just a little bit of "seed for the future" as well. Interesting. |

Not sure about a face. To me it looks like an old flower after the petals have dropped. ;-Þ |
