This sure evokes a feeling of sadness, for me anyway. I like the white in the foreground and the greenish/blue hue in the background. I like that one twig is so prominent and yet the others are still visible and almost seem to be reaching towards the main twig.
I like the subtle tones in the photo and the depth of field that you used in it. I love the out of focus branches in the background, it keeps the eyes looking for other things. Nice Job.

very peaceful tones and I love the play with DOF and the varying levels of focus and boke, swirling through the image like the plant's stems and "fingers"

BEautiful. It has a magic quality. The DOF is perfect. The empty fingers of the plant seem to be reaching for something (woah, I got a little deep, huh?)
Brilliant, Lisa ! I have done these many times but never as gorgeous as this ! Toning down the browns & getting that DELICIOUS blue BG really makes this pop :)
