 People of my Town side challenge 04/08

Day 1.

People of my town begins! Last night was manic, a brass band turned up to the bar we were at and started playing along with my mate (playing guitar in my entry). Needless to say the local residents weren't too happy, we got a good 25mins of jamming in before the fuzz showed up though. Non of the shots of the came out that well though, it was all a bit manic. My entry is taken when everything had calmed down a bit and the tripod came out.

Great choice with the b&w. Love the perspective and how the darker edges/corners lead the eye right into the center of the picture. Everyone sure seems really focused and enjoying themselves.

oh, I really love the way people can hang out around the Piazzas in Italy and other countries, even very late at nite. You captured a lot of the vibrancy of thhe language and the people in this one, I can se the hands going and hear the loud voices! :)

Really good candid; you did a good job of capturing them wrapping up in what they were doing. It came out well considering the high ISO used.

I like the slight blur. It gives it a feeling of "motion" and makes it seem more real

They keep interesting hours, as do you. I remember being young once. Now it's 'The Old Folks Hour' at 6pm and off to bed...

I like how engaged they all are, and the b&w conversion gives this a bit of a journalistic quality. Nice capture.

Ooooooh. . you are going to have some great stuff!! When I saw your choice for this side challenge, I thought, "Wow! That sounds like something I'd LOVE to do too". I'm doing animals of all sorts -- but I sure am going to enjoy seeing your photos this month.

I love the casual urban ambiance to this photo. It feels like we are really part of the moment.

brilliant shot ... wot i really like is that they seem really into wot they're doing and not posing for the guy with the camera and the tripod !!..
excellent in b&w .. love the scene .. slight vignette works ... it sort'v encloses the group/scene .. like a light on them .. love the guy second from the left with the hat .. he looks like he'd fall over if he stood up .. :)
