This is a treat to see because we have nothing like this around us. I like how you've pushed the processing to make it seem like it could an album cover or poster.
What really catches my eye are the bikes parked out there. In Kansas, there really isn't a lot of architecture that even remotely resembles this, and I guarentee you, there aren't any bike racks out front. What a stunning process you put in place with this image though. Very emotive, moving...
I like the slight distorted effect of shooting these grand old buildings - gives them character, shows off their scale. The golden light on the walls is warming, detail in the cobbles is very good.
Nice contrast. This is great but I think it could be improved by trying to maintatin more of the detail in the brickwork as this seems to have become a bit soft somewhere along the way. Great start!
Awesome perspective, very dramatic, strong impact to the viewer and I love the colors, textures, and everything about this image..... What a way to start, and so look forward to seeing many more images from you.....
Great shot - looks very forboding with the brickwork getting darker as it climbs towards that sky. Would like to hear some of the stories these walls could tell
Lovely warm colours against that moody sky. Feels like it just stopped raining and now the sun is about to pop out...
I'm sure you'll make it to at least Thursday! : )
Nice shot, looks a bit like where I live in Italy. I personally would like to see the whole of the arch on the right hand side and a bit less of the wall on the left - only a minor gripe though.
so you're only planning to post two more photographs .. LOL ..
i'm loving the drama in this image .. both from the colours and your perspective .. very intense .. :)
these side challenges can be addictive .. check out how many i've been in !!!
but if you're anything like me and heaps of other ppl in dpc, then the inspiration and motivation we get from each other .. the wonderful comments .. the fact that we're taking so many photographs .. you just cant help but grow in your photography and develop your own individual style ..
and be in here a lot longer than wednesday !!!!!!!!!
