Made a nice walk today (see March'08 walkabout). This is another one of the beauties I found. I like the lamps and the wet weather look.

Editing: conversion from raw and to B&W, applied a red filter and played with the levels.

I was just about to say exactly the same thing as Mad_Brewer! This again is very atmospheric. (Seems to be my favourite word today!)

This looks like one of those games at the carnival where you try to throw rings around a bottle to win a $2 stuffed toy, but it only takes $49 and 2 hours to get it. Nice find and good job on creating a moody shot.

I like the gloomy and looming feel to this shot, very cool. I do see some posterization in the sky, maybe curves were pushed a bit hard.

The rings on this chimney really makes this image.

The clouds above the land on the left have something a little odd going on but otherwise grand!

Excellent, atmospheric shot. I'm so there. Love that stack with the circle thingies on it.

The chimney is an imposing structure, dwarfing the other elements of the shot - yet the lights seem to want to be seen. I would almost like to see what happens if you dodge the road a bit, or try a conversion that brings a bit more life to the wet pavement. As it is, though, the darkness helps portray a gloomy mood.

Interesting image, there is a barrenness and starkness. The smokestack is huge and seems to be leaning.

Time-o-day & mixed light add a interesting dim quality to this unique back lighted smoke stack.

I like how this huge thing could have been a huge eyesore but they put the rings on it and made it something of interesting. Love your lighting here.
