I had a great time taking this picture.. Everyone in the picture wanted to see their pictures and the girl followed me around everywhere.. [that's why the shot's completely candid] She even had me take a few pictures with her friends. The guy up there made me promise that I would give him a print of another picture of his.

I believe they live in tents, made of rags and such, nearby and make money sorting through the trash. I honestly don't like taking pictures of homeless people but they rather enjoyed the novelty of me hanging around. I initially thought the dump would be empty and wanted a simple shot of the overflowing garbage holder but having people there made the composition interesting.

I honestly can't say what this will score. I'm not fond of the editing.. but oh well..

This is the kind of photo that I LOVE shooting! I would have thought I'd died and gone to heaven having this type of scene and willing models! This is awesome!

Those are some bad looking goats! The person in the foreground IMO is pulling attention away from what should be the focus of your shot, still giving it a 7 though

The many small pieces of litter tend to wash all the colors into a mess rather than allow the bright colors to stand out. My eye was also drawn to the red store in the background which was not an intended focus of the photo

The colors really stand out in this picture. The photo is uncomfortable to look at, but a good uncomfortable, makes you think about how fortunate we really are.

Unbelievable. This gets a 10.

As for the image. A little more vibrancy in the colours would help this shot.

the eye contact in the girl makes me VERY uncomfortable looking at the shot. a big success for a documentary/journalistic style photograph. similarity between lambs and two guys scrounging in the trash says a lot about their conditions. last bust not the least, those nice cars in the background shows the proof of financially extremely unbalanced society. one of the best shots i have seen in the documentary genre recently.
will look forward to knowing more about this place and how you shot this photograph. thanks in advance.

Powerful shot. The fact that this is reality for so many people is frightening. I hope this stands out strong in placement. Scenes like these need to be seen. Bumping up.

This is a good photograph. It shows a very realistic point of view that other people don't have. The contrast of the colors of the trash stands out very well.

OMG, I don't know where this is but man did it give you a great shot covered in pollution, even the sky looks smoggy. Other than that great range of values And the gritty textures give a sense being there. Love the expression (obviously not faked) everything here seems all to real.

Nice shot, goes very well with the challenge. Lighting is little flat. I would have used curves or contrast to add depth.

well heres the best so far.
very powerful image showing pollution, its affect on nature, and even more important its affect on people. (maybe not directly on people, but as a byproduct of the industrial age)

How terribly sad... even the goats look starved. Love the expression on the girls face.

This is a great image for the challenge and the people in it add another dimension especially when you see them sharing the booty with the livestock. The goats look content at least some good comes from the rubbish.
