Lol - Dog's have such great noses with amazing shape and textures. But even with the shallow DoF the bright eyes and happiness shine through this picture. Handsome looking doggy, lovely colours.

I loved this. I gave it a 7 and never got back to bump it higher.

The nose knows!! Oh boy, I'd like to try his/her teeth-whitener ... LOL.
Good luck with an unconventional look. 6 OMG ... I just read your title, I am such a dork.

And what a nose! Nicely lit, good DOF, and the nose is perfectly in focus.

I like the atonal aspects of this shot. The eyes actually pop, so counter-intuative. Thank you.

I think it is risky not to have the eyes in focus in a portrait shot, but this nevertheless has a lovely feel to it and you may have got away with it because of such a good focus on the nose. The longer I look, the more I like it

The title helps, but still I wouldn't want a portrait of me with only my nose in focus. So, this make me think this is a poor pet portrait. Sorry.
