 My cat, Mr. Orange (creative name, I know) on a bedspread that matches him so well I at times fail to see him when he's asleep. I did pop his eyes a little (they're more amber naturally) and emphasized the side-lighting (this is naturally lit through a distant window). I used a tripod with relatively low shutter speed and fairly high ISO. DOF very shallow due to little light and desire for bedspread to blend into background.

Well-placed point of focus, and a handsome cat! I like that the overall color scheme you chose for the challenge was not the norm.

The eyes of that cat are amazing, they stand out against everything else in the photograph. The cat blends into the background very nicely, its a perfect match.

This blends perfectly and at the same time stands out, it was really smart to use a patterned fabric because this makes the plain fur stand out just enough. I also really like the warm neutral tones even in the cat's eyes.
