The soft focus does not do it for me. Perhaps a sharp focus in b&w. Also, there is a weird red smudge just below center that is distracting.

I really love the texture in this shot. I love the glow too, I just wish I could see an eye.

The black in the shadows hides too much detail for me to really like this. The processing is pleasing, though.
