If the parallel lines in this shot are supposed to be in the floor, you should probably compose and expose this shot for that. In this case, the focus and title of the image is the cat, and although pretty, doesn't have anything to do with the challenge topic. The floor is out of focus and slightly overexposed where the sun hits it. The cat even appears to be slightly out of focus.

nice cat but photo fails to meet the primary parallel aspect of the challenge.

yet another cat...

A beautiful cat, and two sets of parallels, the floorboards and the cats collar (just)
Maybe the cat is just too obtrusive, and overwhelms the lines.

Maybe a little soft and backlighted.

While the concept is there (parallel floorboards and the lines on cat's bow(?)), the picture itself is somewhat unexciting and not too creative. It's also a little fuzzy and the cat's position is a bit awkward. Great-looking cat though, and I like the lighting in general!

uhh, what is parallel here? The lines seem just secondary...

That cat looks evil.

I'm sorry but the parallel lines do not provide or strengthen the composition of the image here. They are purely incidental. You missed the brief.

I'm not too sure if the parallel lines really enhance this picture, but like it anyways. I like the way yo've used the lighting. Nice cat :-)

Too much direct light on one side of the cat and not the other. The main section of the photo is shadowed and the floor is overexposed from the sunlight. Perhaps taking several steps further back would have given more of the wood floor and had the cat highlighted in it's patch of sunlight.

The photo has parallel lines in it, but they certainly aren't the main focus.

The floor has parallel lines, so i guess you meet the challenge, although the fact that the floor has parallel lines does NOT make this a stronger image; it's just a coincidence. The subject itself (the cat) is poorly lit.

Focusing is a litttle off here. The cat has intense awesome eyes. Love his little scarf.

Love your imaginative take on the Challenge, but wish kitty was in better focus.

Very good choice of lighting but the focus is slightly off.
