 a last minute submision. i was photographing a writing pad with its lines and it looked crap and uninventive. i then look to my left. the blinds at my window with the dark of night behind looked the goods. no cropping, just some PS "contrast and brightness". Viola! abstract parallel lines better than i thought for this no-effort effort.

You got the theme spot on, that's for sure. But I think you went a bit too simplistic with it.

Well, you've definitely met the challenge topic with this one! However, there's nothing else in the image apart from the lines, so I feel that it doesn't have anything to keep my interest in it. Also, the image is very small, both in dimensions and in file size - you're allowed to use up to 640 pixels in any direction, and up to 150Kb, so you've lost some quality in the compression and lost impact due to the small size. Hope this helps!.

Very parallel. However, all it is is black lines on a white background. Nothing special. I wouldn't know what it was of except for the title. The lines are also uneven widths, a personal preference of mine is to have them even. Good job fitting the challenge though.

This looks almost fake. Did you up the contrast a ton? it almost looks like more of somthing created in PS than a photograph.
