Spiderman comes to mind when I look at this intricate web of lines. Nicely done.

hey hi. i upgraded this photo on further viewing. although i think it could be a bit brighter (i favor a high contrast in my b/w...but that's me), i think the b.b. is a great study in parallels. bravo and great job.

Gorgeous. Top ten at least. 10

dramatic, good use of b&w, would have been a ribbon selection for me had the full shot been in focus.

I like the b/w, good parallel lines, nice picture

Very nice...needs more sharpness but conceptually I like this image right down to the white stripe in the center that guides my eyes into the photo. incredible DOF

The two sides of the picture are so alike, they almost look like a mirror image, except for the lamp-post. I find that the overall greyness is a little bit drab, otherwise I can't fault it.

Nicely composed but in my opinion the image could do with bit more shadow to add impact.

Shame there isn't another lamp opposite, the it would be a really cool photo. I like the fact that you converted it to mono - 8

Great pic!

Seems almost completely simetric. Like it. Maybe litle more contrast.
03/18/2004 01:27:51 AM
Would've marked it higher if the contrast was increased. 7

I love that someone chose to shoot this bridge. A great idea for this challenge. Lots of beautiful lines. Good luck! - 9

This is a very highly photographed subject. I think you have taken an angle that is more interesting than usual though! A few criticisms: I with the horizon and all the lines were square with the framing, perhaps some rotational adjustment in photoshop could improve this. The photo is also quite gray and flat. Some level and contrast adjustment would fix this up ina jiffy or maybe using a yellow contrast filter if you planned to have a b&w image. Otherwise a very strong image.

Nice framing but if you are going to transform the shot to black and white, I wish I could see black and white as well as middle grey. Not enough contrast here to serve the subject matter IMHO.

Ah the good old Brooklyn Bridge. Spent many beautiful days walking over it and looking at the fine NYC women. Nice depth of field, nice composition.
