| Is it my imagination..... of lyk pa maar eg Suid Afrikaner? great pic, wish I could figure out how to do that on my canon or with photoshop. Another South African, Dr Martin Brink, perfected the same technique using film. |

| I have always been attracted to this style of image. There is a touch of profundity to anything properly treated (not every image can be converted to this style) in this manner. |

| I like the threshold effect. Something different that's not practiced much in the digital age. Works well with the light side, dark side lighting you used. |

| I think this could have been a good portrait, but the post-processing or in-camera effect has turned this more into "digital art" than a photograph. |

IMHO This has been overprocessed and has gone from the domain of photography into the domain of digital art. Under the current rules, I can not give this a very high score...

This looks more abstract The lighting seems a bit harsh

| this looks like it would have been a great portrait of your dad - I like the tight crop and his relaxed pose. I don't care for the posterization effect, however, as it obscures the details in his eyes. |

| A little over the edge in the contrast for my tastes. I very much like the idea and the pose, but I would have liked the effect to a lesser degree. |
