 A combination of two previously processed images. The blue flower was done with lighting while the lava light was changed around with hard light and other stuff...
......
At the end I did some erasing around the center of the flower and added just a touch of white paint to bring the center of interest out from the rest.

Heh, heh. Roz nailed it. that's exactly what I was going for: a strange insect in the placid composition.

The composition on this is very strong it draws me in , I hope you enjoy a month of experimenting with overlays :)

hi alice .. that stamen (i think its called?) looks like some weird insect or animal with a triangular head and four legs and two tails ..
if i disregard that appearance i'm loving the pic within a pic and the beautiful colours .. :)
