First thought: this could be anywhere. We all ride around in cars and sooner or later pass this scene. Second thought: just enough detail to justify scanning the countryside. Third thought: why do we take these pictures? |

When I look at this I can almost smell that rainy wet earth smell. Very good! |

using the circumstances that are given you has rewarded us with an earthy and edgy photo - i need to remember that raindrops and imperfections can be a good thing in a photo |

I think the emotion of dealing with wind and rain was definitely captured here. I like how things seem out of focus just as we might feel that we don't have a focus when things are chaotic. |

I agree with Melethia that this has a difinite WWII feel to it. The first thing I thought of was Band Of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan. I absolutely love this shot. I feel like a soldier running for cover in a rainy firefight. The grain only adds to the feel, well done! |

Chaos certainly fits, with the tilted horizon and blurred spots due to rain. |

What I like about this is that it has that textured-overlays look. I love how areas of sharpness peek in thru the blur. I would have also liked to have seen just the lone tree and the field behind the tree - it's like there's a mystical moment here waiting to happen. |

I like the blurred look here, it works well for this image. |

Perhaps not the greatest of all photos you made, but you sure got the emotion. Which means: I hate it (got wet today) and I love it (it's so real life). |

Should have taken that shot today Rob, the rain was flowing freely in Norwich today ;)
Am glad you left notes as to why and what you were looking for as it helped me to view the image in the way you want us to (if you get my drift). Definately best out of kilter and think this would work best in a set/series of images portraying 'emotions'

The wet window/windshield makes for a great filter for this ghostly scene. Chaos is not what jumps out at me, but if that's what was going on for you, it works. It's very dramatic, either way. |

Looks like you were in the middle of a huge storm. I like the tilt...gives it more of a dramatic feel. |

I don't find it chaotic.. rain tends to calm me down most of the times. The the water drops create a blur, dreaming scenery. Imo straighten it would loose to much, it's fine as it is.

I love the painting quality to this. That with the angle make it very artistic and dramatic. I guess chaotic. . .but in a dreamy pretty way, if that makes sense. |

The unexpected, something that creates not just good, competent photos, but makes for exceptional images. In your case the quick decision you made to photograph in the rain behind glass gave the opportunity an exceptionally interesting image to come about. I learn that from you that relinquishing total control can lead to much better photos. |

I sense chaotic, but more WWII level chaos rather than wind and rain. Fleeing to the countryside to escape the ravages of war kinda thing. And I like the shot, and the processing. Maybe not the whole fleeing war thing as a concept, but I like that the shot represents that to me. |
